Mine was leaking on the wet tank just a bit so I took it apart. There is spring and a steel ball that sits on brass seat. The ball was pitted from water on one side. I put it back together and it still leaked. I air up the tank and used a pair of plyers and pulled up on the pin and let the ball dance around abit then let it snap shut. It's holding for now and when it leaks again I will replace it. My .02

Maybe a new stainless steel ball would be a good improvement.
