Paint chip numbers

Does anyone know, if there is such a thing, as the paint chip number for coyote tan?

I've got an FS595b Color Fan Deck but it doesn't go by color names. Can you be more specific as to application?

The only 2 Fed Spec #'s for "Coyote Brown" are 499 and 498. USMC CB is a dark brown, the other is used mainly be the Spec Ops community, and is lighter... "Coyote Tan" is a "made up" name for the manufacturers jumping on the "coyote" bandwagon.

If anyone has an accurate color chip of it to send me, I can match it as close as I can with my color chip book.

Supply Captain

I think that Supply Captain has what color I am interested in. He sells alot of products in it, the marines are the main ones that uses it. Didn't know, just thought it would be a cool color to paint a MV. Thanks for all the input

You want the 498 color. That color IS a Fed Spec #, so there shouldnt be too much trouble matching it to something in paint.

Just for my records does the 498 color you're talking about have a 5 digit FS595b number?
