Just curious but how does your scrap man know the price is going down a month ahead?
I thought prices was like spots bids. Wayne

He told me at the end of Aug. the price was going down in Sept. He watches the market and while it's not a sure thing He'll usually hit it within $10-$20. I am considered a scrap dealer and my scrap is sold to the foundry the minute I drive across the scales ( the foundry has already agreed to buy X amount of scrap at X dollars). The average Joe that brings scrap in it's not sold untill the ship it out. That's why a dealers price is more stable.
