Hi guys,
I have my 85' M1009 front axle up on stands (fitting steering stabilizer and checking over and freeing disc brakes after having hot hubs - especially passenger side).
The driver's side Locking Hub will lock - tested by turning the rotor and the shaft turns.
The passenger side hub spins freely but when Lock is engaged the shaft does not turn. The selector is loose on the hub and does not click into place on either Free or Lock.
What can I expect when I pull the hubcap unit! I have had the truck a couple of months and am working my way through the systems (as per advice on this site). It appears unmolested since leaving military service except for basic servicing by previous owners.
