Bought new tires last week. I was looking for something not too aggressive, as this truck will probably spend more time on the road then off it. What I wound up with are Falken Rocky Mountain ATS in 33x12.5x15.

There is no lift on the truck at this time, though I'm considering the Rough Country 2" suspension lift. So far, only street driving, there has been no rubbing of any kind.

I know, old thread. But some good info.here, just wish guys had listed what back-space they used.I really want to run 295-75x16 or 315-75x16 tires on my non-lifted 1009.I think I could go with 295s since a bit narrower than a 33-12.5x15,but about 1" taller, not sure if I should get a 4"bs or 4.5bs wheel though?Even the 315-75x16 is narrower than the 33-12.5x15,but it is almost 2" taller. My 1009s pretty much never off-road,and my newer one has been regeared to 456 gears,if I could run a 34.6 tire height I would be very happy.

Thankyou, this is not my thread but one I found which is old.I just thought it was interesting how some guys ran 35s on a non lifted 1009??Was not doubting your input or info.I also got tired of trying to find the thread and figured this would help me find it faster. And by the way your 1009 looks great!

I guess it depends on how it's used. I'm sure with stiff enough suspension and pure pavement driving it would be fine. i use mine on trails with plenty of rocks, ledges and whatnots but it also gets driven on the street so I didn't want it any higher than I need it.

Looked at tires in person today,I think the 285-75x16 would be a good fit for the 1009.I currently run 33-10.5 x15s.The 285s are 1/5" taller,7/10" wider sidewall and 1" wider tread width. Now I need to figure out what backspace wheels I need.4',4.25" or4.5'.
