Pinion flange help

Can anybody help me .can't figure out how to remove pinion flange,moves about 3/4 inches and stops,this is for the front axle pinion flange under the radiator.thanks

Yes. It knocks off. Otherwise go get a jaw puller. Take the Pinion nut off. And a BFH to smack it with. Its just stuck. Hit it harder

I've. Got the flange off,I've removed the 8 bolts on the cover ,I pried it about 3/4 inches from the surface,I can spin it and the shims,I can see the seal,but nothing will budge any farther,is the a snap ring or? On the back side amongst the shims

No they are just stuck on there most likely by sealer.
Be gentle with them they bend easily.

Piece of steel. Drill 3 holes in it. 2 3/8" and one half inch. Well a nut to the half inch hole. Hook bolts to flange thru the steel. Takes about 20mins to have your own puller.
