We have this military truck setup to plow and it does not have a live pto, (only works while in Neutral), while we can use it like this, it would be nice for it to work while the automatic transmission is in drive. Is there a way to do this without mounting an external pump? Is there a bolt on pto option that wouldreplace the existing pto mounted pump and allow for live hydraulics? This will not be used on the road at high speeds, just in parking lots and roads around a commercial setting.

why not just a belt drive / clutch head unit on the engine just on a custom bracket by the alt ?

the clutch head would work like a a/c clutch only when you supply power . so pump don't spin all the time.

its what I have on my 1ton old school chevy with fisher plow setup .
