February 16, 2021 addendum:

We are progressing with our plans for the upcoming MVCC meet in Plymouth at this point and there are a few things that need clarification. The way payments are set up right now the 49ER RV Resort is collecting all payment for those people staying in the RV park. This is a change from 2019. We are asking everyone to send an application to the MVCC so that we can keep an accurate count of everyone attending and if you contacted the 49er Resort directly to make a reservation we ask you to please make sure to send an application to the MVCC for our records.

Those people that would like reservations in the associated Amador County Fairgrounds all need to send their application and payment for camping directly to JoAnn at the address on the application.

We use the information from the applications to create an accurate listing, both alphabetically and by site number of all those in attendance to make it easier for you to locate people. We also use this so that you can get the same sites you were previously in should there ever be a repeat of what happened in 2019.

Is there a thread for people looking for, or bringing parts to the swap meet?
This is probably the best thread for it.

There are event details up on www.MVCCNews.net in the calendar area. The interactive map is not updated due to some churning of sites but by April 1 you will see which participants are in what site at the RV Village and the adjacent fairgrounds campground. Read Kurt's camping information above. Reminder that pro and amateur vendors must rent a campsite in one of the two campgrounds. Otherwise no vendor fee. And as usual no visitor fee or parking fee! Parking lot is on the fairgrounds side accessed on Empire street. Assume zero visitor parking inside 49er Village.

Reminder that this event is subject to Amador County COVID 19 rules, so please check the MVCC website before making the trip. Things are looking good now and people are stir-crazy for events especially a swap meet!

The flyer above has been edited. Note the addition of four awards:
Longest Distance Travelled
Longest Distance Travelled Driving a MV
Longest Distance Travelled Transporting a MV
Hard Luck Award (getting ready or travelling to the meet, or if no candidates, hard luck at the meet. Missing out on an early GPW grill for $50 is not what we are talking about)

Self register, we are not mind readers! Look for the clipboards at the MVCC/Event Info Booth near the RV Village entrance, and at the fairgrounds.
We will recognize more than the winner of each category, so please sign up!

The interactive map for the upcoming Plymouth MVCC meet is current as of 3/23. If you have been following it and believe that you are currently registered I'd suggest you take another look at it. We have removed the names of everyone that was on the map from when we were planning the meet in 2020 that was cancelled who has NOT submitted a current meet reservation form to us or has sent us a reservation application but has NOT contacted the 49er Resort and made their event payment.

The deadline for reservations is rapidly approaching so if you're planning to come to Plymouth please take care of this immediately.

Really getting excited about this show......has anyone started a thread for buy/sell/trade stuff yet?
I don't think so. This would be as good a place as any to talk about that. Sellers in particular draw people from a long ways away so if pro or amateur vendors want to mention the kinds of things you will be bringing for sale, that's great. It grows attendance.

Remember to check the promoter's website www.MVCCNews.net before you go, for any late breaking news. We are subject to Amador County COVID 19 rules and although things are looking good statewide, an upsurge in cases and hospitalizations could change their rules about gatherings. One would think being outdoors should not be a problem but who knows?

Reservations for the upcoming MVCC Plymouth meet are closed for the 49er Resort and we have returned any unused sites to them. If you want to attend and stay in the 49er you will need to contact then directly at (209)-245-6981 and make arrangements. You may or may not get the MVCC discounted rate for your stay at this time.

Reservations for the Amador Fairgrounds dry camp sites are still open for the next 6 days, until April 20th to give us time to get ready for the event. There are still plenty of dry camping sites available although it has filled up considerably in the last 2 weeks. An application is still required so that we can track our attendees and payment of $35 per night should be included with it. Please make out any checks to the MVCC and mail it to the address on the form before the 20th of the month. Applications are downloadable from the MVCC website at: www.mvccnews.net/events

We look forward to seeing every one of you after the yearly Covid hiatus!

For those who didn't reserve a RV site when the discounted event block of sites was available, like Kurt said if you want a site at the 49er Village you should ask them for the group discount. Doesn't hurt! You should know that our deal was $53, not $65 which appears on our reservation form. But if you have to book at normal rate, that is currently as low as $64 depending on which dates. Not bad! Today I saw quite a few sites on their reservation site available for weeknights and some for the whole event. Great locations. Check them out: 49er Village | Reserve your campsite today (campspot.com)

My guess is they are light on "civilian" RV campers due to some or all nearby wineries shrinking or eliminating indoor tastings and events. Winery tourism is a big reason why people visit Amador County. If this means more RV sites are open to our folks, good for us!

By the way, my wife and I gave up our cabin to try a travel trailer rental. Having it delivered and picked up by a company in Sacramento. I can tell you who we are using or just do a web search for RV rental in Sacramento or Stockton and you'll see options including websites that are brokers for private owners in the area.
