Guess no one is willing to help out?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Cool deal, mine is coming in on the "Orion Highway" out of Emden. Guess I'll just be driving back and hope for the best!MILRET45 said:Sorry I don't have anything to help with the tow but I'll probably see your rig if they offload into the VW Group port facility at the ship channel bridge where I work for Bentley. I'm receiving three Bentley's off the same ship 'Morning Dew' docking 22 Jul.
Actually I posted the wrong pic of the recievers. What had happend is that the company I bought the vehicle from misread the F-6 and used a 1/4" thick (1/4" cuts are the requirement not 3/8") chop saw to deactivate them. I had them kiss the cuts with the torch to remedy the problem so were all cool now to come in. I actually created the deactivation for this wweapon and ATF approved it......they didn't have this one on the books till now.Pawnshop said:I saw the photo of the 37mm receivers cut up, I assume that will do for German law but in the US a receiver has to be cut into at least 3 pieces with a torch that takes at least 3/8" of metal, saw cuts will not satisfy the BATF requirements for deactivation, AND you can not import the barrels either. Too many a-holes re-welding saw cut receivers. I would suggest you contact the Houston field office of the BATFE before you try to get this beauty into the country with the guns onboard.
Damn.......you know they could have been sued for that too. One of our sporting good stores here in town had several lawsuits filed against them for turning in too much paperwork into BATF during a police checkup. Someone found out about it and somehow got a suit going. Breach of privacy, something?Pawnshop said:No,one of our Pawn Shops in Houston was audited and they almost lost their FFL for a non-infraction. The store was basicaly submitting TOO MUCH information to the BATFE (multiple handgun release forms on pawn redemptions, which are not required) and instead of asking/telling them to stop they almost took the FFL away (no serious violations were found). I talked to a supervisor in Austin who talked to the Houston supervisor and they backed down. The Austin supervisor agreed that the Houston sector agents are a squirrely, pain in the butt bunch.
Sure is, I mistook the "Sirius Highway" which was the original ship it was to be transported on before I had to make some altercations.MILRET45 said:Orion Highway is due in 30 Jul.
I was about to get a BMP or variant but realized that this would be allot more useful since I can use it as a pickup too!OPCOM said:I like wheeled armor.. and it comes closest to being affordable.
