Possible missing Bolt on plate at connection between engine and trans

There's a plate on the trans side of the engine trans connection, maybe this is supposed to be missing so you can adjust something, or maybe it's a shim bolt...the one on the other side has like 4 washers on it, so that makes me wonder if there's a set depth or adjustment needed instead of just cranking a bolt that fits into the hole.

The yellower bit is the bottom of the oil pan at the aft/back of the engine.

Good to hear your doing close inspection. One thing to check is flywheel bolts. Few have found them wondering out and worse. Likely can find the thread in here on this and how to tighten them thru inspection space. Maybe just a search for flywheel bolts in this FMTV forum will bring the threads up for you.
