Ok, so my rear battery died on me but luckily the front had enough in her to get the truck (m100 started not once but twice. I'm pretty sure these are civy batteries but there is little to no marking on them. There's a few stickers, batt that ate it was manufacturd in July 07 and the front one which is only putting out 400 cranking amps and close to the grave is February 09.
So, after searching the battery threads etc I saw conflicting posts on the need to put matching manufacturer and manufacture date batteries in the cucv. I assume its a non issue since mine has worked fine but who knows if that's what cooked the rear. I find no marking of ca and cca, so will it make a difference if a buy a battery with a different ca/cca rating than the front? I'm a little strapped right now so I am hoping to put the front battery off for a week or two but definitely get it done before winter.
What help can you guys offer me? Thanks!
