Is it Broke???

I recently traded for a 5 ton Bridge truck converted with a dump bed. The power steering reservoir was removed to replace IP... since then it has been started some and Power steering pump may have been run without sufficient fluid...

Now in process of refilling PS system and bleeding I noted the pump gets really hot... (enough to sizzle spittle, lol)

Is the PS pump shot??? Or should I crack the pressure line at the pump and bleed it.

BTW, with front wheels off the ground, steers great. All the fittings away from the pump are cool, which tells me no fluid is pumping...

HELP:?:

Westfolk, still have those pumps???
