powersteering lines

Hi Guys,

i have a few questions about the powersteering lines.

first do i need this valve when i dont have a winch?

i already lost 3 times my whole fluid.
the hose got off, 2 times on the cooler und now at the cadillac valve

and also my fan doesnt disengage, but clutch is new

can i test this with air? or is air in the system to the clutch?

Keep in mind, the fan never really stops, just slows down some, not that much, when it' snot engaged. You notice when it engages at operating temperature that it becomes loud and more air is moved... You can't miss it when it engages. Don't assume it's not disengaged because it is still spinning fast.

What Model do you have? Could you post more pics form different angles?

I think that is the block to run a rear bumper winch but it looks different than the valves I have seen on other models, if so yes it could be eliminated and the lines going to the rear if equipped.

That’s a pressure reduction valve that feeds PS fluid to the rear differential….got nothing to do with a winch.
are you attempting to sec old dried out rubber hose? Or have you replaced the old hose with new? Quite common for old dried out hose to
not compress enough with hose and used clamps…

Too bad you are so far away! I could use that remote valve
