ok guys,

went to place tape antenna(at272b) on radio and found that
the spring base (AT272A) has a different diameter
thread post than the radio. is there an adapter?
so the only way I could put the tape antenna on the radio
was to use the (at892) then tuner box 89799 then the tape.
any ideas about an adapter?

You have the antenna for a PRC8-9-10 series. There is an adapter made. Fellow in Italy had one on evil-bay recently - shipping to the USA was more than the part.

But on the spring base of the 272 it says
"at272a/prc 25" I would of thought it was
For the radio- is it possible that it's
Marked wrong? Forgot to say previously the
Post diameter of the spring base is much smaller than
The receptacle on the radio
I can take some pictures if needed?
I've seen some of his stuff on evilbay
Shipping is nuts

antenna

Are you using the gooseneck flexible part between the antenna and the radio?I dont think the antenna will screw straight into the radio.

Yes I'm using the gooseneck marked at272/prc25
Well not" using" I can't screw the gooseneck into the radio
The diameter is to small for the radio?
