Was in Tenn. and descided to go by Frankfort to look at my M35A2 W/W. Here is what I found in the 20 minutes i was allowed to view the truck.

1. screw in the back left tire i will need to remove or leave.2
2. Truck started i pulled onto the roadway and did a brake test...half pedal full stop.
3. No visible leaks
4. 8/10 tires are new back left are 80%
5. All the shakles have been taken:roll:
6. Winch was overspun and did damage to cover plate. Hopefully not a big deal.
7. Belts looked new could read the numbers
8. Hoses look good
9. I could not get or firgure out how to operate the lights (singal lights are LED:grin:)
10. Paint is faded CARC 00

Was opening the hood and the MP told me was 20 minutes was up. So i shut the truck down.

Took some pictures for every one to give me feed back

Didn't get to check any fuilds.

Nice looking Truck! :-D

Winch Top Plate damage is pretty common. Easy to replace.

Shackles are easy to find. Pretty cheap.

Check "V" side of belts for cracks. They can look good from the "text" side and still be old.

Spring Driver's Seat is a PLUS! Your BUTT will thank you!!

:?: WHY are there 2 different pics of 2 different guage panels??

Different Truck?

Sorry to hear that the MP didn't allow any flexibility on the "20 minutes". Makes you almost want to remind him just WHO pays for his 3 squares & cot! (Don't get me wrong here, I have HUGE respect for our boys in the service! & perhaps his CO was dictating the 20min limit. I just hate to think he was on some sort of power trip!) Maybe he was just having a bad day....

The mps out there have been very nice to me. I am surprised that they only let you have 20 minutes. Maybe GL has fussed about them letting people view trucks without appointments.

I am not surprised about the shackles, mine vanished too (I even took mine off and placed them under the seat) and some peoples trucks lost headlamps as well:evil: I just hope that the trucks are not completely parted out by the time I get my EUC. I noticed one had the fuel pump removed from the tank, but I don't know if that was prior to it arriving there or somebody just needed a spare fuel pump.

Opps that picture of the gauge panel is differnet truck.

I had an appointment with Jay and Marcus. I will just say they don't always answer the phone and left me hanging with the mp. Even with the appintment a week in advance.
I was still nice with Jay and Marcus because it's seems they had all things to handle.

My main goal was to drive the truck and hit the brakes. Which I did and the truck
came to a stop. I was lucky because the truck behind mine has no brakes.

How can I tell what kind of turbo I have? It's loud

You drove it? No wonder they only wanted you there 20 minutes:p If Marcus was there you would not have moved that truck at all. Driving them is a big no no if you don't have an EUC.

I had to borrow one a couple of weeks ago to jump start another and they were not real happy about it. I got away with it because I waited until they were not looking, by the time he noticed I was putting the other truck back in its place.

LOL, thanks for the info did not know about the no driving. Lucky me won't do that again. Bad part is I had to move two truck to make room for mine to pull out so I drove three total.

FYI wife told me the same thing when I had her move the dually.

So you started it up and drove it W/O checking the fluids? Smart way to never drive it again if they were drained. .02

:ditto: My Ft. Knox had all fluids except brake fluid. But my N.J. (Bordentown) truck was completely empty, and even had the heater hoses unhooked (heater was gone before being listed by GL). I'm sure glad we checked the fluids before trying to start it!
