Yeah, $15 is next to nothing nowadays, but performance should also count for something, without posters there would be no forum.

Perhaps "Premium member" should be changed to something different, seems like a sales gimmick to collect $15 from people who want some kind of (unearned?) status.

I also agree with the thought that performance/participation does count for something(that is how we based the access to the classifieds up until now). We have a few members that contribute daily, no matter how repeat or simple the issues are. I think to them, we owe everything. They are what makes this site what it is. I don't want to list names, but we know who I'm talking about.

$15 for nothing, thats funny. You should be charged more for all the venting you subject the masses to. Some folks pay lots of money for anger mgt resources, you post yours here for free.

I really have been gone awhile ! Now instead of trusting someone based upon thier rank and participation score, I can see that Joe Schmoe is indeed a "Premium Member" and can surely be trusted to be a stand-up guy ! 
Though I do understand and like the change in theory, I do have to wonder about the possiblity of new problems that may be created ?
Will have to wait just a bit to see how it all works out and hope the best to all involved, as I really love this site, and am very pleased to see it growing and evolving !

Well, my CC balance is $15 bucks higher. At least they created an LLC and admit that they aren't a non-profit.
The other forum I do work at is a 501c3, and every dollar collected there from members or vendors goes to member benefits.

I don't know, I would think computers, high speed network access, software, etc. for running a site like this isn't free.
I've donated minimal amounts due to the fact that I have sold items on classified, and have thourally enjoyed the site, where I look at it almost every single day for a year now. Cheapest form of entertainment ever, and educational for a seriously lacking diesel owner coming up to speed on what I own. For me, I consider it an investment, even though I could still get the forums and education for free if I elected to go that way.
Personally, I'm kinda happy to see the $15 fee, but it's not for everybody. It is still an option and not mandatory, so I'm not so sure what all the complaining is about. I just wish some people would give it some time. I'm confident it is all going to work out for the better as just being able to go to one source and download the tech manuals I need from it is worth the $15, yet... that's still free. So please people, my plea would go out to you to just chill some and give it all a chance.

SECOND---$15 is CHEAP for a scammer or a ripoffer, with this we can have the $15 paid to sell, with NO SS perception

I don't post classifieds often but have learned from and enjoyed this site for years. I also pay particular attention to folk's post count when thinking about doing business with them. Pay $15.00 and now you're a Premium Member...this part concerns me.
