Saturday, we had every truck readied for the War and Peace event in July. Just as I prepared to relax and have a beer, the lad reports "there is a leak on the inside rear wheel of the fire truck" I was already well tired, but spurred on (by the youth!) we removed the offending rear wheels and hubs, replace a wheel brake cylinder, and the seals. Put it all back together and we are NOW ready to go..At last, I could sit down and relax..Nope.."let's do the fuels and oils now" says the kid, (Double kn.....d!) I COULD now relax and have that beer!. "Let's"...no way!..that's for another day.
