Proper operation of a deuce, while enjoying a cup of Joe

Hey, I got my deuce on the road here in the "EVIL" empire state and was wondering where to put the cup holder? Seriously recreational deuce driving should not be hampered by a lack of proper personal consumables such as coffee. With the bench seat on the right side there is simply no place for a cup holder or a convenient nook or cranny to park a cup of coffe or whatever.
So far I have been smooth enough to park my cup on the floor and not have it flop over. Still, with the morons out there who delight in cutting people off, includiung 7 ton vehciles that are much bigger than they are, I am afraid I will spill my coffe and stain that new paint on the floor.

How do you veteran Deuce drivers coipe with this technical difficulty????

(My tongue is in my cheek to a degree, but this is a serious topic for road trips)

I was able to stick a take-out cup in the rifle rack bracket on the dash, though that's hardly a permanent solution. It does work in a pinch.

Here is the link to the thread I did. I know that you want to keep it original but if not here you go.

Boatcarpenter,
If the plastic is Black, it is ABS not PVC. There is a great difference between the both of them. ABS will take a lot more viberation and movement than PVC. Looks like your Pyro is in a Female adapter and the cup holder is a cap and coupling put together. When you glue them together make sure you use ABS(Black) glue. They will last forever.

Divemaster920, You are absolutely correct and I actually do know the difference. I just had one of those mental things but I can't remember what they are called at the moment:wink:.

I have several of those black plastic cheapo cup holders from wal-mart like frodo's. They withstand the forces of a route 44 cherry limeade in the deuce, I also use them to hold stuff like hearing protection, sun screen, and bug spray, they are quite handy.

Taken straight from the archives of this very forum..... I couldn't buy or build one that works better. Put it way to the right, or fourth gear gets messy with a tall mug such as my favorite one here...

I just love the duct tape idea so much that i went to the garage, got 5 rolls and put them in every deuce in the back yard. After sitting in the sun for several days the edges will get sticky and add more stick to the floor. Reason #2 is duct tape works miracles. Just ask Don Garlits...

Damn my one track mind! I have been to Cabela's this week for shooting stuff and COMPLETELY forgot that they sell boats and boat accessories! I have two Deuces and a M1009 in dire need of cup holders!

The duct tape roll works in a pinch, however down here in Texas it is against the law to dispense iced tea in a cup smaller than 1 quart and those are a bit top heavy for the "duck"

Some years back I bought a deuce from GL that had a similar cup holder to FRODO's. The difference was that it had the little leg that hooks over things trimmed back and it was tacked to the top of the dash with a self-drilling sheet metal srew. That made it a lot stiffer and it can't fall off.

I liked it enough that I did the same thing with the other trucks.

They're all still holding up fine.
