I have been searching for a couple hours now and can't come up with a TM or any discussion about repairing/fixing locking push pull hand controls that will not lock.
For example, when I pull out on the engine stop handle on my Deuce it will not stay out no matter which way the handle is situated. I have tried ever "o'clock" there is and it just will not engage the pawl and stay out. I can vaguely rear the ratchet teeth engaging something, but it isn't enough to keep it from going right back home. Same for all the other "locking" push pulls on the truck.
Is it so easy and simple that no one has had to ask about it? (That would be my luck. Its like asking someone how to breath.)
Would someone please point me in the right direction?
