Putting a bed on an M818

Is there an easy/simple way to put a bed on an M818 tractor?

Having something couple into the fifth wheel maybe? I'd still like to retain it so I can use it if necessary.

If you leave the 5th wheel in place the bed will sit higher than a normal cargo bed.

Unless you use an M105 bed you will prob have to cut down a deuce or 5 ton bed to prevent a lot of overhang.

I don't think it would be necessary to mount a kingpin plate on the bottom of the bed to hold it in place.

Just put four anchor points on the frame and have it where you can pin the bed to them when you want the cargo version.

You might also check some salvage yards and find a flatbed that would work.

There have been some nice trucks posted on here made from tractors.
