Try http://www.westach.com/ They can custom make up to 4 gauges in one housing and you get to pick. I don't think they are cheap but they are very cool.

Check their "bargain basement" -a -250 - 0 - +50 amp meter. could be good for monitoring charge from the alternator into the batteries (0 to +50A) and discharge from the batteries (0 to -250A) Probably such high-current discharges would be short, such as when firing a directed energy weapon.
