Question about my cap.

I just recently bought an '84 M1009. And i was wondering if anybody else's cap came with a giant hole cut in the cap? I was just wondering what it could have been used for.

Probably a former air force rig, ive seen plenty of pictures with different antenna mounts. How big is the hole? If its really big it could be for an observer bubble.

Maybe a gun turret like on the top of a humvee...



Or maybe that is where a tractor beam from a UFO cut a hole in the top of it,
so it could abduct the passengers in the back seat.

What cap are you talking about?

I believe he is talking about the removable top on the "bed" of the M1009.
