I include a list of my properties and areas for storage and they seem to authorize much more quickly

Can someone fix the thread title. Been trying to figure out what an Engine Control Unit has to do with properties and HMMWVs.

I refuse to do this. They don't need to know anything beyond the EUC filing info and payment.

They've been trying to hit me with this form allegedly from the TSC inquiring about where I intend to store my purchases. The form has no numbers or headers and appears to be general MS Word generated document. Somehow they've concluded I can't store vehicles at my address on file and want someone else to sign it authorizing me to store my purchases at a different location. Every time I've put the same address and signed it and it's been accepted.

My response every time:

It’s only required one time regardless of the number of vehicles purchased, GP can’t and won’t submit the EUC to TSC without it…
You are authorizing yourself to store the vehicles at your location….not another person, it’s a stupid request.

After purchasing 10 units, my EUC is down to just a few weeks on the last three.

Steve, not arguing but I will point out that you probably fill out your EUC based on your work as a rebuilder and seller. That differs from the rest of us hobbyists.

The vast majority of the rest of us fill out paperwork as individual private owners. Uncle Sam seems to want to know where we are gonna put the units we purchase. I waited 9 months on one unit where they questioned me on storage. I sent the info and had the EUC a week, The kicker was that another EUC on a vehicle purchased just a week earlier also was granted at the same time.

That is why I now respond with EUC paperwork as well as where I plan to store the vehicles.

All of this is what I have noticed on only my last three purchases. I'm done for the foreseeable future. This may be all coincidental, but all my prior purchases took MONTHS.

Yes, maybe I'm wrong, but this is what I noticed. I want to help my fellow hobbyists, so I posted. If others get different results then we all know I'm wrong... BUT what if I'm correct and we speed up EUC times for our members? Then I would feel guilty not posting.

YMMV, so take with a grain of salt.

Fuzzy, IMHO, telling the bureaucracy to pound sand is counterintuitive. They have the power, and ultimately they will tell you to do the same. That leaves you with no items and a 25% default fee.

Your’re observation is Incorrect, because even though I had a Secret govt clearance and in the military, my EUC’s got no more attention than the guy down the street, its ”first in, first out”, once the EUC hits TSC, we are all created equal….as I’ve noted before, the process ebbs and flows due to a litany of things out of our control, businesses doesn’t get any special treatment….

They must really like me since I've been buying for a decade and they've hit me for this form the last 3 events.
