There's no proper TM for the A1R in civilian hands, afaik. The most recent TM I have is digital, but cuts off before the A1R. The schematics are wrong for pretty much most all of the truck. It does show a pic of the C7 and the correct dash, but really contains no viable info. It's really for the CAT 3126 trucks (and a scant few of those got the C7 stuffed in them).

Attached wiring schematics (this one is modified to be text searchable). The TMs are significantly more of a pain as you can't just read through the pages the same way you can the PDF TMs from earlier models. As stated above, post your question and someone likely can help. If you really want to attempt the software, there are a few that can help with that.

If you want the most up to date electronic TM's send me a PM. The system has to have it's viewer software that is highly vertically integrated into the military maintenance support device (MSD). It's not just a manual - it's a maintenance system that integrates the manuals with the test hardware and an integrated inventory and parts system. As such it takes at least a 128 GB thumb drive to move it and all the other collected works of Shakespeare that you need when wrenching on an A1R.

I also provide ECM re-rates since CAT won't touch a military serial C7.

The MSD is interesting, I would assume somewhere there would be some system schematics or something to help a tech get through a project...

Thank you for the help you guys offered! I did get the schematics i was looking for which will be greatly helpful on several aspects of our build out.

I do have a specific question as a few of you suggested I just ask what I am needing help with more specifically . So it it obvious I have an A1R 1088 I am adding a second fuel tank. I need to find the Pin Out of the fuel gauge connector so I can either switch the sending unit signal to the gauge or add a second gauge... I know its a long shot but I am sure some one out there probably has done this already. :)

for clarification... The fuel gauge has a 5 pin sealed connector.

The A1R uses data bussed gauges driven by a box called the MMDC, so adding another gauge would be difficult. You would probably have better success switching between two separate tank level senders... This sender switch function is usually incorporated in the tank switching function on vehicles that do it that way...

Correct - the gauge runs off the MMDC on a closed loop CANBUS - they are entirely digital so just put that guy back in the dash. You will have to put a switch on the signal from the sending unit going into the MMDC (under the dash). While you are at it, add some inline filters to the front and rear air-tank transducers that are built into the MMDC - they are sensitive to moisture and particulate from the air system and if they fail you aren't going to appreciate the solutions. I'm working on a daughter board that will allow the updated transducers from Honeywell to hopefully be calibrated but replacing them requires very careful internal surgery by someone familiar with electronics repair or you have to find a used one, or I guess contact Medallion and see how many children they want to program one for you. It also holds the vehicles odometer information and has to be programmed for the specific military application since these were used on Freightliner trucks and RV chassis as well as ski boats and who knows what else. You don't want to deal with a broken one as they are 20 year old discontinued technology. There are of course other options like the Veratron marine gauges..... none of it is particularly cheap and you will be getting real familiar with custom wiring.
