my father took these
Archer, Ichkoff, and unknown .. All had served under the 3rd army during the push into Germany... They were retained for occupation duty
Below: Saar Kaserne motor pool, Munchen .. Name is Kawahara, 50/50 japanese-hawaiian.. Enlisted in Hawaii , sent to ETO ... spring 1947
Jeep purists, note the tire tread design , unusual hardtop, bumper-mounted horn, and missing shield on BO lamp .. On the bumper, USFCB stands for "united states forces continental base" .. I found conflicting online organizational info on the 1947 bumper unit ... The "9TRG" is 9th Transportation Regt or could be 9th Traffic Regt.. Is one or the other.
