I was not able to save one of the factory M46 based dragline trucks like that one.
While out for a family drive one day, we stumbled across one next to the road with a "For Sale" sign on it.
As I was looking it over, a truck pulled up and three locals jumped out. After some friendly conversation, I found out they had purchased the truck from the widow of the owner. Yes, it all worked and it even had new clutches and rope on the drums.
They drove it out of there and proceeded to cut it up for a bobbed "mud-buggy".
