rear driveshaft question

Hi,
I am toying with the idea of installing the 4l80e in my current 6.2/3l80 setup. this truck does have the 242 t case already from that MWO.
I am aware of the drive shaft that need to be changed, shifter, linkages, TCM, etc.
My question is on the rear driveshaft. I already have one PN: 12469284 which is a 12K shaft for use with ECV trucks. Would this shaft be ok in my planned application or would I need PN: 12447113 which is the 10.3K shaft? and would this work with my stock M998 Diff.

Thank you,
Corey

It would be considerably cheaper if you just took your current drive shaft to a driveline shop and had it cut and made to the correct length.

That way you would know it would work 100% and you could have them press in some new u-joints for fun.

12469284 has a 1350 yoke on end, so it won't work unless you change rear diff. yoke.
12447113 has the 1330 yoke, so it will work if your diff has the 1330 yoke.
Early 242T/C's installed on the 3L80 use the 5937339 rear shaft.....its to long if 4L80e is installed.
Late 242 T/C's installed on the 3L80 use the 6007749 rear shaft....its also to long if 4L80e is installed.

I think your missing the point. I already have the rear driveshaft. I just need to know if it will work or I would need the other 10.3k shaft?
