Rear seat base installation

Does anybody have a link to properly mount the rear seat bases, I have a helmet top in a two man configuration that I would like to add the rear bases to. I have a complete set for the rear bases but no hardware. Any help would be appreciated

I think those are designed for their (Predator) own bases, not the mil ones.

Do they have the clips on the underside that slide under the rear of the base? If so, you can probably make them work if you want to source the tabs that rivet to the front of them for the draw latches.

Your truck never had the factory fitted rear seat bases/buckets, so you do not have rivet holes in the transmission tunnel and floor, is your problem?

That is correct Sir, on the passenger side there are some holes drilled vertically in the transmission tunnel but the bottom two holes have rivets in them, haven’t got underneath to see what their purpose is.

The bases came with all types of brackets that I don’t know their purpose

The two pcs of aluminum tubing with the ends squished flat are for the tunnel insulation panels.
The long silver/bare aluminum strip closes the tunnel side of the seat boxes.
The installation would have another sheetmetal flange about 4-5 inches long for the seat bucket to the rocker panel.

I also have a NOS seat base bucket, it is not pre-drilled for the pop rivets. Yours, if you have the old style A0-A1 rear seat backs/footwell covers, that can be used to properly position your bucket, using the seat back with the twist lock fasteners securing the seat back to the fender front. Best I can do is shoot a couple pics of the empty pop rivet holes in my 1995 M1025A2 GMV. Put in a similar quantity and spacing cherry rivets along each contact area, I'm not sure if AMG applied the Permatex between the seat buckets and the rockers/transmission tunnel.

Were you able to get additional details on mounting the base? I’m facing the exact same problem. I see no pre-drilled holes to mount base. I can see how the back is fastened to the side of wheel well. Thx.

Thank you, we were just there a couple of weeks ago. I grew up in Palacios and worked a couple of summers out at STP in the late 70’s.

My un-installed Driver Side rear seat bucket is not pre drilled for installation pop rivets.

The truck bodies were pre-assembled by type before setting on the chassis. The blind rivets are installed on the crew compartment side of the tub. I wouldn't think the trans tunnel would be prefilled, the bucket set in then drilled through on the chassis side then blind rivets set from.the crew side. Seems awfully inefficient.
Rivets hole spacing on my 1995 build year M1025A2:

Drill a like number of holes, use good Permatex, you should be structurally fine.
