I'm asked on a fairly regular basis "What is my MKT worth?" or very similar questions. Well there were 17 MKT's in GL that Closed on June 13, 2013. Here's what they went for:
MKT-90 #970 $725.00
MKT-85 #2433 $630.00
MKT-99 #0029 $1710.33
MKT-85 $1010.10
MKT-85 $1280.00
MKT-85 #0311 $321.00
MKT-? $3101.00
MKT-90 $1350.00
MKT-85 $1280.00
MKT-90 #1437 $635.00
MKT-90 #032 $665.00
MKT-85 $915.00
MKT-85 $2140.00
MKT-85 $970.00
MKT-? $1350.00
MKT-90 #0148 $1847.00
MKT-90 #272 $410.00 (GL noted it was stripped of all contents)

While it's true that most were missing components, the prices reflect what was included, and how upgraded each one was with the six vent roof, MBU's, high lip griddle, all vinyl covers, roof, screens, etc. Ones already in private hands and have been used are probably much more complete and are more valuable as a result. At least you have a baseline for the summer of 2013.

Of course the contents are the prize, but number 0311 going for $321 was worth more than that if it were completely empty, just for the trailer and wheels.

Mike, your contribution to the SS Georgia Rally remains the finest of the lot. Your MKT is the number one draw for me, and allows me to have a lot of free time and enjoy myself while you work so darn hard. That goes for WM/Tigger, the gals and the others I have not mentioned too.

You guys are the best!

Dell,
Running an MKT is not for the faint of heart, but I regard it as training for something I hope never to HAVE to do - feed First Responders in a disaster situation. I want to practice on the MV crowd at the rally to make things go smoother each year. in '09 I was there with the MKT and a cargo truck, we did cleanup with a hose and cold water, in '10 I had the M109 so I could stand up in the 'pantry', in '11 we had the field sanitary sinks setup on the ground, and in '12, they were mounted on their own trailer. Improvements for '13 will not be quite as visible, but I've got the bucket list cut in half (still almost 20 items to work on this summer) from the AAR.

To anyone who did win one of those MKT's,
Contact me about the USB drive that has more information than you can shake a stick at on running one of these marvelous toys and the stuff that goes with them!

Put the MKT Manual (TM 10-7360-206-13) on a USB drive and take it to one of the copy shops (Kinko's, Office Depot, Staples, etc.). Presto, instant hard copy manual!

I'll add mine to the list - MKT-99 8/2010 Rebuild (not as nice as Stampy's but I've got the griddle and invertor :)) $915 before sale fee/tax. Missing the MBUs and one of the deck braces but everything else there and in outstanding condition. With tax/fees, MBUs and cost of recovery I'll probably have around $1500 in it. I sold my last one that was 1/2 as nice last year for $4000 to give you an approximate retail value.
