KCclay purchased a new to him M35A2 and since today was supposed to be above freezing we made plans to go out and get it. We got a late start getting going so of course arrived when the GSA guys were on break. No big deal spent the time looking at up coming items. We had been told they had a dock but didn't so plan B went into action. Had them chain the front to the fork truck lift it and back the trailer under it and of course me, the old gut gets to sit in the duce to apply brakes. All went smooth till the front wheels broke through the decking of the trailer, good thing was the rest of the decking held. Fork truck then went to the rear, lifted the duce and pushed it the rest of the way on. Hooked up 4 chains with binders and the rest of the trip was uneventful. Soft top had come loose from the front giddy that secures it in the channel so we removed and stowed it for a latter repair. Other than the J-pipe and stack being gone, dead batteries and some rust through on a couple of stake pockets looks like a pretty good Duce.
