I am interested in buying A M51a2 But I have no clue as to how I would register/ insure this truck? I don’t own a farm or business so I can’t use that as a way to register it. I don’t have a CDL but it can sit somewhere until I get a CDL, I have looked on the IL DMV site and do not see how I would possibly plate the thing! The DMV website said antique plates are for vehicles less than 8000 LBS so that is out. And I have not even touched on the insurance part. How do you guys in IL have your Deuces and 5 Tons registered and insured?
