Might not be what you're looking for but if you have a business, you can register it in Montana, sell your truck to your business and these folks will help you get titled and registered in Montana.

Can you give more detail?

Do you have a sf97 or is it titled in another state?

I have a standard State of Florida title.

With all documentation police gave me a criminal ticket for having vehicle on street without registration.
Almost took me away and towed vehicle.

Need some type of organization for Vets or parades or lawyer that is aware of MV practises.

Well I made the mistake of turning in my blue antique tag I had on the 1088. Then I decided to tag it again years later with the blue antique tag but they said now I have to get it inspected and get the former military tag and branded title. I believe if you tell them it is a military truck then as said believe they want the title branded and issue brown former military tag. Now I do not know but if I did not tell them it was a former military truck and just asked for a regular weighted tag I might have been able to it that way. Myself I want former or antique tags as I want lower insurance and do not drive my trucks far or often. My 915 and 373 trailer have the blue antique tag but they have been tagged for years. Often wondered if they are going to contact me about that and ask me to turn in my blue tags and get inspection and former military tags and branded title.

That is incorrect. The only vehicle you cannot get a standard tag for here is the Humvee.

I had my 5 ton tagged, and just recently tagged my 7 ton.

Guys, I just won a 2008 M1123 off govplanet.. I'm getting a little concerned here about getting a FL title now after reading all these threads. I knew is was a little difficult, but now sounds like they are tighten down.. I did purchase a Montana title to be issued.. I'm hoping that we can just do a MT to FL title transfer, has anyone gone thru that process yet?

HI, I just got my 2002 M1123. If I title and register it out of state, how does the insurance and inspection work. I live in Buffalo, NY
.
There are people who have titles from companies that allow you to title in a state that doesn't restrict HMMWV's. There are individuals who have gotten titles without the help of a company. Just plain, normal people who asked the right questions, filled out the right forms, mailed off some money and a title from that state arrives in your mailbox.

THE REAL QUESTION is when you insure your vehicle - maybe in another state - and then you have or create a motor vehicle accident in your state WILL YOU BE COVERED? If you kill somebody, the ante is up for sure... There will be lawyers. They will be out to relieve you of everything you own.

I'm not a lawyer, but maybe go spend a few hundred dollars. Small potatoes compared to what you invested in your truck... Go sit down with an attorney and explain what you want to do to avoid legal troubles with registration that isn't "native" to your state. It would be a good investment.

---

You can easily get it registered.
You can get insurance on anything.

Can you get IN WRITING from that insurance company that your not trying to bend the rules and that they will "cover" you if you clearly describe how you are subverting their rules?

So, how good is that insurance when something goes wrong. Especially if you "stretched the truth" when you filled out the application. Oh, and there is disclaimer on most applications about falsifying as well.

Off my soapbox.
Best of luck to you.
Be legal.
Be legitimate.

This thread is about Florida related titles. Please either find one about NY or start a new thread. This is due to state laws/processes differing from state to state.

The other thing with LLC's an d nobody wants to talk about is taxes , if you don't show a profit in the 1st 5 years you will be answering a bunch of questions to the IRS .

Geez. That sucks. I think you are right. You should not mention the military truck part when you register it. Its a shame these people don't ready statute. There is a statue for former MV to be registered which does aloe for normal registration. Look it up.
