Relocate batteries and air tanks?

Anyone relocate the batteries and air tanks?

How hard would that be?

I am looking at building a camper on a 1083 to 1088 chassis. Would like to use the lower sides for fuel and I would like to better secure the batteries inside a lockable vented box.

Right now I am just toying with the idea, but I would like to know what can of worms am I opening and what the fallout would be.

Thanks

Just make the batteries easy accessible. They are heavy!!! I'm thinking of building a larger fuel tank for mine. But that's a ways down the road a bit.

No reason you could not put two group 31's end to end in a box between the frame rails, and the tanks there as well.

Moving the batts would be ideal. Planning to do it to give me a lower deck height. Then you can get rid of those rediculous 6TLs and use something more reliable/servicable.
