Hello All,
Just a reminder to make sure you all replace your tires with old date codes or tires near expiration of the date codes. Plenty of people run our Hmmwvs on tires from the auction which are generally old and dry rotted. Please take the time to replace them. These tires weren't yet expired but apparently weren't stored appropriately. THANKFULLY, I did I walk around the truck today, purely because I'm a HMMWV addict
, and sure enough I found this massive cut in the tire that wasn't there a week ago. The tire still holds air etc but this could have very well been a catastrophic failure as this truck is very heavy.
