removing an 803a generator assembly

Has anyone any tips and experience in removing the generator head from an 803a?

I'm sure there are some tricks to doing this and I'd like to collect as many of them as I can before I dig in....

Thanks, I've got the manual, but there are always little nuances or techniques or tooling or "gotchas" that can make the job easier. Just looking for someone who has been down this road..
