What is the easiest way to remove the Cab from an LMTV. In a couple of weeks I’m going to swap a cab.

Any tips ?

Thanks

It unbolts at the front pivot there are hex bolts. You have to disconnect the lift arm and all the electrical/air lines. I used straps around the cab and lifted from above.

Considering the existing condition, unbolt everything and tilt it forward until it falls off. Drag it from there....

It's really pretty easy to remove the cab provided you have some way to physically remove it. I removed the fenders and the step/box thing under the door. I made 4 lifting brackets that stuck out the side; 2 bolted to existing threaded holes to the front under the door where the step/box panel attached and 2 on the rear where the fenders attach. I used a gantry crane with a hoist on each side of the cab, a taller crane would've allowed for better lifting angles.

Berend did that 1081 come from a European auction? What year is it? What are those triangular protrusions on the bumper? Never seen those.

Yes came from the EU auctions , the triangles are from the low boy trailer that delivered it

It’s 2008

The TM's have the entire process. For the junk cab, disconnect everything and just lift off. For the good one you are putting on, make sure you use a spreader bar so you don't crush the rain guards or bend the roof.

Berend if you don’t have a use for the antenna mount on the cab, I have been searching for that for years now. Just the part that slides up and out. It’s missing on my 1081.
