All of those mechanical deficiencies will take a half day to fix. Dead batteries are to be expected.
The only reason I would hesitate is if the rust you describe is actual holes in the metal.
:p !! okay....for me the rusty holes in the cab and doors was the least of my concerns :), i will cutout the bad pieces, weld new in place, no problem, it will take some time but there's no rush, and like with my other projects there will be something that pops up when under construction

Hmm, serial number is unusual. What does the data plate above say about what the maximum towed load highway is?

I would buy it. Any M39 or M44 series cab and doors will fit. Even M809 cabs will fit. This assumes you may find another cab cheap enough to negate the repair of the existing cab.

All M44, M39, M809, and M939 series doors will also fit. Passenger door may need slight trimming to accommodate the gun ring mount.

i can easy take my time in some days to look properly , i decided to buy the truck, after the paperwork and payment it will be delivered to my place on a flatbed….the shop were i bought it from send me the pics from the trailer that was behind the m275....unfortunatly it was already sold...would be a nice combination,
is it possible to find some history about the truck and/or the trailer from the numbers on the trailers rear bumper or the vin number from the truck ? if it was used by us forces in europe or so ?
Thanks already to all,

The Army would have NEVER put the fuel trailer behind a 275. Way to heavy. 275's pulled 146, 118, 119 etc.

it doesn't look so big i must say, so they never put anything behind heavier than 6 ton ?
Correct, and not all 6 ton trailers either, the 313 and 447 etc were pulled by 5 ton tractors. But they sure look the best behind a 275.

they sure look nice and 'short' but they seem to be a bit high...the 275 will look small in front of such a trailer i find, the m118 stake looks best according to me:cool:
