replacing cargo cover straps

On my last major trip with the M35A2 I had the sides of my cargo cover strapped up in a "bikini top" style. Well the west TX wind just beat it to pieces and snapped some attachment straps, specifically.

All the other threads I could find on the subject of "cargo top repair" were related to damage to the vinyl itself (holes/cuts/etc). My vinyl material is still great so I hate to get rid of a top that is repairable.

Has anyone had any luck replacing the webbing/attachment straps on their top? It looks like the straps are sown & vulcanized into the material. I have a few phone calls/voicemails out to my local upholstery shops (I haven't located any boat upholstery places in my area).

Any ideas I could try to keep my cargo top alive a bit longer?

Any shop that does boat covers should be able to do it.

Try WeeBee webbing. They have the webbing, the ends can be removed from you old ones and re crimped onto the new webbing.
