I seen another adaptation of the HETT on a flatbed about 2 weeks ago now, that I thought was cool, but wasn't fast enough with the camera. It was painted white and fifth wheel removed and had a flat bed with 3 huge rolls of orange plastic gas line type of tube on it.

Not only pulling the load but also the 5 trucks hanging behind it, now that's impressive.

With two trucks in front and 5 behind, all pulling and pushing, I wonder how they synchronize the output of these truck without ruining a lot of clutches. Then again, as PB said, with a road bill like that, a few new clutches are coffee money. Would not want to be stuck behind that convoy on the high way.

I've moved loads with multiple trucks before, it's not as hard as you might think. You just need some good drivers that know what they are doing.

It does make it much easier if they are automatic. I know the HET is but the other trucks may be too. It's fairly common for c500 KWs used in this role to be automatic.

Great now we're buying mega transfomers from the CHICOMs. That helps the security of the electrical grid.

Dependent on Germany and Brazil for transformers is bad enough but CHINA???
Kind of hard to produce anything when so many people would rather sit at home and get free money and stuff.

Where do you think your shoes, iPhone or ANY mobile phone or ANY computer or t-shirt is coming from? A transformer as hardware without software is ok, the main problem is in the software.

Hey guys I have a kind of weird question, did this HUGE trailer pass through ND on its way to pick up its gigantic load? last week I was running some errands and was going through Fargo on interstate 29 and this GIGANTIC trailer just like this one was Southbound, it had a KW in the front and a pusher KW on the rear but there was at that time no 1070 in the picture, it had both front and rear escort vehicles with LOTS of flashing lights! Two things caught my attention, its was probably the hugest trailer I had ever seen, and the pusher tractor. It HAD TO BE THIS TRAILER!!!! Seriously how many of THESE trailers can there be on the road last week? It take a LOT to make we say HOLY COW out loud to myself, but I did and it HAD to be this one!

Karl, this trailer system is owned by IRH (Intermountain Rigging & Heavy haul). Believe it or not, they have several of this type in different sizes. This trailer had been in New Mexico for over a week before the move, so it was probably one of their other "Girder Trailer systems".
They are one of the largest Heavy haul companies in the US.
