Resistor bypass Done by the Military!

I have a M1009 I bought out of Shelby before 2009. It's been sitting.
I'm getting it ready to try to sell and was confused by the under hood wiring.
Looks like this one had the resistor by pass done also.
A lot of them turned into shop trucks, range control trucks, etc. by the end of their service. Some of them were even off the books until units were forced to turn them in. In those cases, the "don't modify military vehicles" regulations were ignored in order to keep the trucks running.
