Rifle Mount

Does anyone have a picture of the lower rifle mount? The internet is bereft of any photos in that area.

The book picture isn't much help, and mounting it in the direction it shows seems to angle the rifle butt incorrectly.

I don’t know if this helps much. I have never had rifle in it but I would think magazine would go towards firewall.

That helps immensely! I didn't think it went that far back, and on the angled part of the floor makes sense.

I believe that front edge goes in that brake line

Just make sure the muzzle doesn't end up pointing at anything you don't want to kill, destroy or purchase!

I would probably take the mat out and locate it and drill the holes. I would put the mat back in and bolt bracket on top of it. I think you would get a cleaner cut. I would also cut the foam out but not the outer part. You can cut corner to corner like X and you will have material you could wrap around and glue so you have a nice finished edge.. mine looks like they did it with an ax. I will be replacing both of my front mats and the passenger side looks way worse.

I went through the mat, looks neater and works fine. Second pic shows some edge trim I put on to keep from scratching up the stock too much.

My 10.5 and 11.5 barrels won’t reach the upper mount. On top of the mat is what I was thinking! I will do the same thing when I get my new mats and when my truck runs. Hahahaha non runners you gotta love them
I don’t think you got yours low enough it doesn’t seem to be in that brake line. You are 1” 1/2” high compared to mine. Doesn’t mean that mine is in the right place

Here is where I installed mine. I believe I did it per the TM, but I can't find the books right now. Everything is in storage. Plus, there was already a hole for a screw here.

The angle of that barrel does not look safe, I never liked carrying a weapon barrel up, I'd rather shoot a hole in the floor.
