Rim lock ring question

Well I'm in the middle of the fun task of breaking down 22 tires since I got 1100x20s on rims and some of the rings on my deuce rims are rusted to **** especially the spare. I wanted to know if the rings on the 5 ton rims, probably 900series since they're radials, are the same as the ones as the deuce. A few of em look almost new on the 5 ton so it'd be nice to use em, they look really similar but this it my first time messing with lock ring rims and wanted to make sure.

I'd compare the lock ring's profile to the one I plan on replacing. If they look the same, it should be ok.

Radials or bias tires doesn't matter. If the wheels are 20x7.5 (or eventually 20x8.0) the ring is the same for 2.5 and 5tons.
Before I switched over to super singles I have often used 5ton rings to replace those rusty ones on the Deuce.

Thanks for the replies, I got to looking at the rings and found a part number on them and its the same number on all of em. Good to hear I can use them since the ring on my spare tire was really pitted.

John, I'll have 3 that would be what I consider good, my steer tires are pretty good looking yet with not much wear and the spare doesn't look to have touched the road. I might have another but the treads worn a bit but no dry rot. Other then those, they all have some dry rot on the side walls. I'll prolly junk the dry rotted ones and sell the rest.

If you decide to put some up for sale, PM me and let me know what you want for a couple.
