rivet removal

I'm in the process of removing the early rear seat bases. What's the best way to remove all those rivets?

I have removed a lot of rivets in hmmwvs.Drill the head off,and get a punch the same size.the come right out.

Also combine drill through with cutting off rivet back with grinder/cut off wheel for the pesky ones. Nail punch and hammer should knock it out.

Yup, cuz the they are Huck steel cored rivets! Punch out center first, drill out incrementally to 3/16", the back side will spin so careful you don't erode the underlining aluminum skin. Still a pita no matter how you you do it....

Thanks. I did find the punch worked great to start, then drilled, then punched again to clean it out.
