sand blasting options anyone? HELP!

Great Thread! I have been contemplating an M101A2 project myself and will look to Harbor Freight and Sunbelt to fufill my needs.....Any one have any pictures of process? If not, I will post my own once I embark on that mission......

I was using a 350# pot. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/conversations/13585-sandblasting.html I would recommend a fresh air supplied respirator if you can get one. I did not have one and the dust did leak in some times. Heat was also an issue. I bet I drank 100 gallons of water. I bought a pallet of blast sand from Richards Equipment (tool / rental supply company). I think it was around $5 bag for 80 - 100# bags. The CARC was layered thick and was hard and did not want to come off. It took a lot more time than I expected. Yes the sand will get EVERYWHERE. A also did the inside of the cab and still have sand come out when I hit a bump.

Black Beauty works well. I just priced some mason's sand and it only cost $14.50 a ton. It is worth a try. Of course it will need to be dry.
