Saudi Arabia for parts?

I was watching some documentary on the invasion of Kuwait and it looked like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia had a large number of these vehicles.

Have any of you thought about going to one of these countries and buying rare spares like transfer cases and wheels?

Saudi has a bunch of V150's.
Unfortunately, they use 5-ton axles, thus 10-lug wheels, so no go on a V100 as replacements.
Might be able to get a transfer case out of there, someone with more knowledge would have to comment on whether it could be used/adapted for a 100.

Exporting surplus military anything from most countries is not as simple as it sounds. Most will not do it, period. And the one's that will, finding a trustworthy person there in which to deal is quite another story.
