actually the 4D454C was not directly replaced by the 3LJ319, and not on the LDS427-2.
the LDS427-2 was replaced with the non-turbo LD465-1.
the next turbo model was the 3LM305, soon replaced by the 3LJ319 a.k.a. whistler, on the LDT465-1C engines.
i do not know of any problems specific to the 4D454C.
