Received a Blue Sea split bus fuse block we plan to mount on the rear wall connected by 1/0 wire from the PDP 24v BAT (X1) terminal, (using the route the radio wire took between the doghouse and seat). Will have a 1/0 branch to a Victron Orion DC to DC 24v to 12v 70A converter then 4AWG to the second bus. Six 24v and six 12v circuits for rooftop AC, radios, stereo, map lights, etcetera.

I am hoping to run ground to a spot to be determined on the back wall rather than running a second 1/0 back to the PDP. Suggestions and pointing out what I am missing encouraged–

Looking through the schematics (20040129 version) at what each CB is connected to has me rethinking some things for new dash power: door locks, power windows, power mirrors, dash camera, and back up and side cameras.

It appears in our M1078A1 we have a number of totally unused circuits in both 24v and 12v flavors:

24v Battery
CB 20 – Radio
CB 30 – Chemical Detect
CB 45 – Arctic Kit
CB 86 – not found in schematics (not listed in Equipment List Ref, though on our PDP)

24v Ignition
CB 35 – not used
CB 50 – Swing Fire/Dump

12v Battery
CB 38 – Rotating Light (Wrecker)
CB 53 – Wrecker/Crane
CB 72 – Portable Work Light R/L
CB 84 – not found in schematics (not listed in Equipment List Ref, though on our PDP)

12v Ignition
CB 88 – Aux Power Tractor Only Rear Lights (not listed in Equipment List Ref, though on our PDP and found at 8/193)
CB 89 – not found in schematics (not listed in Equipment List Ref, though on our PDP)

Why not use or repurpose these existing circuits? For example CB 72 – could be a plug under the doghouse to light the engine area, or plugs on either side to plug in work lights for when needed. CB 38 is switched at the dash already and could be repurposed for off road lighting. CB 53 could run power to the doors for locks, windows, and mirrors and Blue Fire glass dash sender. CB 30 and CB 40 could run a roof top AC unit.

I think it's a great idea. So far I've been using them as spares (or to replace ones Snuffy removed- like abs.
