Slobber tube

Hi all.
Can anyone tell me why there are two threaded connections on the side of the slobber tube, I have searched but all I can find is that one was used for venting purposes , so why two.

They were used to vent other items to the road draft tube.

The master cylinder was one of the things later removed from it.

I found an article in the ps magazine about the master cylinder vent going to the slobber tube originaly but then being relocated to the firewall .

Amazing what a little bit of searching can do, m44a1 and m35a1 trucks had separate vent lines,hence two connections
