Sloppy tailgate fix

I am thinking about how to take the slop out of my tailgate pins. Maybe some fitted pins and bronze bushings will do. Clutch pilot bearings may work too.
Has anyone removed their slop?

i was thinking about that too, looking at my pins slop back and forth a little bit. i just thought about pulling the pins out to see what they look like and hope they are worn.... so its an easy fix to make new ones and that would tighten it up a lot. i have a problem with bent tailgate hooks.... i wonder what causes that? is that a problem too with the longer hooks?
