Ok everyone the SoCal 2015 Summer Rally will be held in the San Bernardino Mountains, in the Big Bear area amongst the trees.

Dates: Friday September 18 through Sunday September 20.

Location: I have reserved/pre-paid for the Big Pine Flat Equestrian Group Campground, the Campground is ours starting around 2PM Friday.

The location has picnic tables, vault toilets, water, grills, campfire circles (campfire and grill use currently allowed, but is dependent on current fire danger I have to verify before leaving at the time of the event.)

We will be camping at the event, there will be truck drives, a whatever everyone brings Potluck Friday, Saturday I will be Barbequing for everyone, horse shoes, Darts and probably other activities. It will be a fun relaxing weekend away from it all, along with seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

Friday there will be a convoy starting in Hesperia then going up the dirt roads to the campground details below.

You’re welcome to attend the event, so come out and join us.

Be sure to bring plenty of fuel and supplies, including your favorite beverages.

Please Tread Lighly, do not park on vegetation and stay on established roads and trails.

You can go to the Campsite at any time during the Rally, just follow the directions below.

The event is Free, come out and have a great time, if anyone can and would like to pay toward the campground fees it would be appreciated.

Please post up if attending what you will driving and how many in your group.

Adventure Pass info Basically to drive to the camp ground and back no stopping no pass required if you stop along the way a $5.00 Day Adventure for each day a Pass is required or an annual pass can be purchased for $30 which are available at retailers such as Big 5 etc., and the Big Bear Discovery center. if going on any truck trail rides or the convoy it would be a good idea to have one since we will be stopping at points.

Tentatively trying to make it to the event. It all depends on my finishing a project I started.

I am trying to finish a frame off 1943 GPW restoration of the jeep I acquired. If I can finish this thing by the meet, I will bring it along with a 1943 Army Air Force Flight Line Utility vehicle I restored.

Roland is working on a 1942 WC cargo truck he acquired in April. I will try to coerce him into coming along with his vehicle. Will let you know for sure a little later.

This looks interesting. Will there be any bugs there? I don't like bugs. Oh, and does the campsite have A/C? I don't like to sweat.

I'm going to miss this one since I'll be heading to Arizona at the end of August. Maybe my dad will be able take the truck and my brother out if his schedule works. Hopefully I can make it to a winter meet!

Well, hopefully there will be a fire that will keep everyone warm...as long as you have plenty of old documents to get rid of.

Is there going to be a swapmeet this year? Reason I ask is cause I have a bunch of these military camo man-slings or the civy version man-kinis for sale. They are real comfortable to wear around the house or while working on your MV. I got them from GL and from what I hear they are going to be standard issue for our men in uniform, (doesn’t surprise me the way our military is going) but they ordered them a couple of years too early without approval and so here I have them. Let me know how many yall want. Be the first kid on your block to wear one of these. The good thing is that it has many uses not just outer wear here's a list.
1. Sling shot
2. Tourniquet
3. Sling for your rifle
4. Hammock
5. Bandana
6. Dental floss
7. Camouflage
8. Leash for your dog
9. Fly swater
10. Paracord
11. Whip (for when you feel like Indiana Jones or you want to keep the mother in law away)
12. A kite
13. Gas mask
14. Filter dirty water
and the list goes on...this thing is like the ultimate survival multi-tool! Put your order in now before they are all gone!
